Infinix Zero X Pro 108MP Triple Camera Review

The Infinix Zero X Pro has a 108MP triple rear camera setup that includes a 60X Zoom lens. This set up of a Telescopic zoom resembles that of the Tecno Camon 18 Premier except that the Zero X pro does not have a stabilized gimbal camera. The Zero X Pro excels at taking very crispy 4K vide footage as well as taking photos of the moon. I mentioned in my vide samples vide that I’ve never had a phone that could take very good pictures of the moo before.

This is the phone that I used to film the Infinix Note 11 Pro Unboxing video here. That is how good the camera is.

Rear Camera Bump

The Triple rear camera setup consists of a 108MP camera at the top followed by an 8MP Wide Angle/Macro lens and then an 8MP 60X Zoom Telescopic lens. The noticeable camera bump also houses the quad flash. The black phone case does a very good job of protecting the camera glass from scratches when the phone is placed down.

Video Recording

The Zero X can record videos up to a quality of 4K (3840X2160) at 30 frames per second. The other qualities include 1080p at both 60 and 30fps and lastly 720p at 30fps too. Not all the camera features will record in 4K. In Ultra steady mode the quality is capped at 1080p while in beauty mode mode, the quality is capped at 720p.

This is a video compilation of short video clips that I took with the Infinix Zero X Pro. The quality is 4K so this can be viewed on a big screen 4K TV.

60X Zoom

The 8M 60X Telescopic zoom has some is truly impressive. The main 180MP lens can take zoom photos but only up to a certain magnification because from 5X magnification, the Telescopic lens take over.

Telescopic lens screenshot

I have a screen recording of the Telescopic feature in my video from 1:59. From those clips I have these 3 photos that show the different levels of magnification. You will notice that as the magnification increases, the more blurrier the photos become. They are not worse but good enough to make out details.

That tall building in the centre of the first photo is what I was aiming for.

Keeping the top of the building in frame is hard because any slight hand movements result in the focus area going out of frame. You can clearly see that in my vide above. But the object tracker square really helps to reduce that. This square can be seen on the the bottom left part of the screen shot above.

Super Moon

The same Telescopic Zoom lens is also used to take clear photos of the moon by using the super moon camera feature. Here are two sample photos I took using the Super Moon feature.

Video Recording

In video Recording Mode, the zoom feature still used the Telescopic lens but the magnification only reaches to 15X. I have a screen recording of this too in my video at 0:57.

Bokeh Mode

The Bokeh mode identifies the main subject in a video and automatically blurs the background.

Beauty Mode

Beauty mode makes the users face more beautiful by making it smooth. The Infinix Zero X Pro however can only shoot beauty mode in 720p quality.

Photo Samples

a majority of the photos taken using the Zero X Pro will utilize the AICAM feature which is default when opening the camera. Here are a few sample photos of the same.

Wide Angle

Selecting 0.6X will open the 8MP wide angle lens and here are a few before and after the wide angle mode is selects so that the difference is clear. The wide angle shots are a little bit faded which is no surprise because of the very big difference between the 8MP and the108MP min lens. These shots were taken from exactly the same place.

The wide angle lens can be used to take both photos and videos. This is the same lens used to take Macro photos too.

Super Macro

The same lens can only take photos in macro mode. No videos here but here are a few beautiful flowers that I took using the Super Macro feature.

Super Night

Another area the Main lens excels at is in taking super night photos. In the AICAM photo below the tree line on the left of the building as well as the wall on the right cannot be seen. But in the Super Night photo it seems like they magically appear.

Front Camera

The front camera is a 16MP dot in display camera with dual flash. The features that make sense of using the front camera are the Beauty and Portrait mode. Personally I prefer the Portrait feature.

When it comes to video recording the front camera cans also record at 4K. Basically extaltlt the same as the rear camera. The front camera also features video stabilization too. All the clips showing these are in the video samples video above.

Conclusion

If you want a photography or a video creator camera for your social media channel then this is the phone to get. The super moon feature is nice but since you wont be taking photos of the moon everyday, the 108MP still shots and 4K video qualities will get you started.
