The Tecno Spark 7P has the type of specs that make it the excellent everyday use smartphone. Primarily this is because it has big storage and battery capacities. The rest of the specifications build on these two specifications.

Tecno Spark 7P Specifications

The Tecno Spark 7P has a lot of similarities with the Tecno Spark 5 Pro. Here is a table comparing the two smartphone specifications.

Spark 7P Vs. Spark 5 Pro

From the table above you can clearly tell that the two devices are very similar. The only differences are that the Tecno Spark 7P has a powerful processor and bigger screen with 90Hz refresh rate.

90Hz Refresh Rate

The 90Hz refresh rate has been a very nice addition to the Spark 7P. This is because a bigger refresh rate makes any app and system animations smoother. However the biggest beneficiary of bigger refresh rates are gaming applications.

Video Recording

When it comes to video recording, the Tecno Spark 7P can record up to a maximum quality of 2K at 30 frames per second. The video files are clear and more importantly the audio is great.

In fact the following videos on my YouTube channel were shot using the Tecno Spark 7P. If you have a 4K screen then set the maximum quality to 1440p to enjoy the great picture quality.

  1. Infinix HOT 10T Gaming Review
  2. Some sections of the Tecno Camon 17 Pro 4K Video & Photo Samples
  3. Tecno Camon 17 Pro Charging Time With 25 Watt Fast Charger

Triple Camera

The Tecno Spark 7P has a triple camera setup at the back with quad flash. There is only one main Camera, the 16MP lens that does a lot of the work. The other two lenses include and AI lens and a portrait lens.

The following are sample images shot by the Tecno Spark 7P.

There are two camera features that lack on the Spark 7P and those are Wide Angle and Macro photography. However outdated the the Tecno Spark 5 Pro is now , it had a Macro lens.

Audio

Speaker port on the right

The Spark 7P is a dual speaker device with one speaker located at the bottom of the phone. The other speaker is located just above the front lens.

Dual speakers have two advantages. One advantage is that they are louder and secondly is that they offer immersive sound since they act as stereo speakers. However this cant make them as good as a pair of headset or headphones.

Ads & Bloatware

This is the most annoying aspect of a very capable and good smartphone. The battle with bloatware and Ads is still ongoing. However easy it is to disable these advertisements, does not excuse their presence.

I guess this s a method for Tecno to reclaim their money after increasing the specifications but not the price. If you find such gimmicks as annoying then I have a tutorial on how to disable Tecno HiOS ads in my video here.

Basically there are 4 steps to doing this

  1. Uninstall Bloatware
  2. Disable notifications from apps
  3. Installing a third party launcher like Nova
  4. How to uninstall system apps

Concluson

The Spark 7P is an excellent everyday use smartphone if you choose to ignore the ads and bloatware.
