Infinix Note 11 Pro Review, A Budget Performance Smartphone

The Infinix Note 11 Pro is a budget phone with some very big specifications like a huge 6.95 Inch/176MM LCD Display with 120Hz refresh rate, 30X Zoom lens and 5000mAh battery with 33 Watt Fast charger. Another new innovation on this phone can upgrade the RAM from 8GB to 11GB in a single click.

The Infinix Note 11 Pro retails for Ksh28,499 and is available online on Jumia and Xpark and all Infinix outlets countrywide. The Note 11 Series also has a NOTE 11 that is retailing for Ksh22,499.

The phone comes packed in a bright lime green package and the lime green theme continues in the user interface too.

120Hz Display & 180Hz Sampling Rate

This is the second device to feature a 120Hz Screen refresh rate apart from the Zero X Pro. The big screen on this device is what makes me call it a mid sized tablet. Its so big plus it has a Full HD+ screen resolution of 1080X2460. This comes in handy when watching back the videos shot on the camera or maybe just YouTube videos or Netflix movies.

The high refresh rate and touch sampling rate offer a smooth experience on the device. Gaming is especially improved on the Note 11 Pro because of this. However not all apps support 120Hz refresh rate plus it can reduce the battery life. And it is for this reason that I recommend using Auto Switch refresh rate. This automatically switches the refresh rate according to actual use.

The Note 11 Pro also features TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification accreditation, that protects the users eyes allowing for longer usage with less strain.

Extended RAM

MemFusion

The Infinix Note11 Pro just like the ZERO X Pro features a brand new extended RAM technology feature which allows the phones RAM to be boosted by 3GB in a single click – from 8GB to 11GB. This is a game-changer when you’re using more apps at a certain time and need a temporary boost in performance without compromising your daily battery life too much. Extended RAM technology means that a part of the ROM will be used to work as RAM when the RAM is not sufficient to ensure buttery smooth performance. Users can simply open it in the settings under -“Storage”-“MemFusion”.

MemFusion reduces lag and battery drainage. With RAM that can expand from 8GB to 11GB, the Note 11 Pro optimises and varies the processing speed in different application scenarios to increase the number of applications running in the background from 9 to 20.

Camera

Triple Cmera

The Note 11 Pro has a triple rear camera setup with the main lens being 64MP at the top. This is followed by two lenses, a 13MP 30X Telescope zoom lens and finally a 2MP Bokeh Lens. This set up also contains quad flash and that round thing on top of the flash is a dummy.

Still Photography

As far as features go, the Note 11 pro has a documents feature, 30X Zoom, beauty, portrait mode and super night features in photo mode. Here are a few photo samples that I took.

AICAM

The wide angle and Macro photography features are missing in the Note 11 Pro. These have been replaced by the 30X Telescope zoom lens. I have included a screen recording video of the 30X feature in the video below.

Video Recording

The maximum video record quality is 2K (1440p) with the other qualities being 1080p and 720p, all at 30 frames per second. The other features available in video recording mode include Video stabilization, Bokeh Mode and beauty mode. The maximum magnification in video recording is 10X.

Here is a video compilation of a few short clips I shot using the Note 11 Pro.

Battery & Charging

The Infinix Note 11 Pro being a USB Type C device, features a big 50000mAh non removable battery and a 33 Watt Fast charger. The charger offers dual voltage outputs controlled by the phone. One is 5.0Volts at 3.0Amperes and the other is 10.0V at 3.3 Amperes max. I recently did an experiment to find out how fast this charger can fill the empty phone and here is the video.

The charger could get the phone to 105 in only 5 Minutes and 32% in only 20 minutes. Here are my full results

  • Less then 1 Min – 1%
  • 3Min – 7%
  • 5Min – 10%
  • 11Min – 19%
  • 20Min – 32%
  • 30Min – 47%
  • 40Min – 62%
  • 50Min – 77%
  • 1Hr – 88%
  • 1Hr 10Min – 94%
  • 1Hr 19Min – 97%
  • 1Hr 28Min – 100%

The NOTE 11 Pro’s TÜV Rheinland safe fast-charge technology automatically shuts off power when the smartphone reaches full charge. So there is no problem if you doze off after plugging in your phone at night.

Dual Speakers

The NOTE 11 Pro is equipped with two speakers, one on top and one on the bottom to give users a stereo audio experience that immerses them into every scene.
