The Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ features the world’s slimmest curved screen smartphone design. The phone is only 6.8mm thick and weighs only 162 grams. I honestly don’t know how they fit a 5000mAh battery inside.
Hello there, my name is Dominic and in the embedded video below video, I’m going to test the HOT 50 Pro+ durability by dropping as well as pouring water on it. I will also play some games and take some photos and videos as well. Before I start, the cost to own the phone is 27,000 Kenya shillings. For an AMOLED display among other features, this is a very good deal.

I have the dreamy purple version which has this sleek glass panel with intricate engravings. Looks very nice in the sun as well. The shiny edges reveal the curved screen and at the bottom we have the SIM Tray, mic, USB port and speaker. The HOT 50 Pro+ features JBL dual speakers with the other speaker located on the top alongside the secondary mic. The sound output is loud and of great quality for a smartphone. I wish this phone came with an audio jack. There was absolutely no reason to exclude it in its price range. I guess I’m just old school like that.
Display
The display is big and with very slim uniform boundaries all round. It’s an AMOLED Full HD+ display with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. It’s very bright even in direct sunshine. I enjoyed consuming content as well as gaming on this phone.
The Dynamic Bar, integrated at the top of the display, provides an intelligent, multifunctional area to view notifications, quick app actions, and dynamic information. There’s no need to swipe down to view some notifications.
The Always-On Display feature allows users to view essential information—such as time, notifications, and weather without unlocking the screen.
Performance
When it comes to performance the HOT 50 Pro is powered by a Helio G100 processor. The G100 with its customized AI algorithms optimizes the device’s daily operations and handles large games effortlessly. With up to 16GB RAM, an official 8GB and an expandable 8GB, a maximum of 25 apps can be held in the background without reloading them while switching between apps.
Camera
The camera performance also impressed me. The HOT 50 Pro+ has a triple rear camera set up at the back. The primary lens is 50MP followed by a 2MP Depth and an AI lens. At the front is a 13MP dot in in display lens with LED flash.
Photos from the front and rear cameras are clear, sharp and detailed. The maximum video recording quality is 2K @ 30 fps. That’s for both the front and rear cameras. The other qualities are 1080p at both 30 and 60fps. The dual view feature enables one to shoot videos using both the front and rear cameras at the same time.
The phone also offers excellent stabilization. Here is a sample with Ultra stabilization ON and OFF.
Titan Armor Protection
The phone is crafted to deliver premium protection against drops, scratches, and bends. With IP54 certification, the phone can withstand water splashes. It can also be used with Wet & Greasy hands without any issues.
Battery and charging
The big 5000mAh battery could last me like 2 to 3 days with some gaming, watching content and browsing social media. The phone supports 33-watt fast charging. And in my charging experiment I got up to 23% in 15 minutes, 45% in half an hour and full battery capacity in one hour and 13 minutes. According to Infinix this battery can last up to 4 years.
Watch my full battery charging experiment below.
In conclusion, the HOT 50 Pro+ perfectly balances great design and performance. I can say that it is designed for users who demand both style and strength.
